About the Journal
Middle-East Journal of Non-Communicable Diseases (MEJ-NCD) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research related to the prevention, management, and policy of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across the Middle East and beyond. MEJ-NCD accepts a variety of manuscript types that contribute to the understanding of NCDs, including but not limited to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory conditions, metabolic disorders, mental health, and lifestyle-related risk factors such as nutrition, physical activity, tobacco use, and environmental health.
We encourage submissions that address NCDs in Middle Eastern populations, but we also welcome studies from other regions, particularly those offering comparative insights, context-specific interventions, or policy implications that may be relevant to the Middle East.
The journal’s mission is to support knowledge sharing, foster regional and international collaboration, and drive policy and practice improvements in the prevention and control of NCDs. Contributions from researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, and policymakers are especially encouraged.
Our editorial board consists of prominent regional and international experts in global health, epidemiology, and chronic disease management, ensuring a rigorous peer-review process and maintaining high scientific and ethical standards.
